July 1, 2022
Astraius will be attending the Farnborough International Airshow, as the bi-annual event makes its return on 18-22 July for the first time since the pandemic. Astraius will be showcasing its horizontal launch capabilities and will be an exhibitor in the Space Zone.
The Farnborough International Airshow is one of the largest aerospace events in the world, attracting more than 200,000 industry leaders in aviation and space. The Space Zone will bring together the global space community and many of the innovators driving this growing sector, including Astraius.
Astraius is preparing for its first satellite launch from the UK in Spring 2024. Its Spaceport at Prestwick is currently in development and has benefited from the £80m Ayrshire Growth Deal, representing a significant investment in the burgeoning space sector in and around Glasgow Prestwick.
Kevin Seymour, CEO said;
‘This is an exciting time for Astraius as we continue to develop our horizontal launch capability and we’re delighted to be exhibiting at Farnborough. It will also be a moment to come together with our leading industry partners to showcase our innovative launch solution utilising the C-17 aircraft. In parallel, detailed plans for the development of our Spaceport facilities at Prestwick are maturing and are on schedule. We continue to have significant market engagement and look forward to meeting many of our customers and potential customers at FIA22’.
